To make you more aware, you can try yourself calculate the time or duration that you use when playing online games. If necessary ask the help of someone closest to you to help you in calculating it.

Or you can also create your own notes so you know exactly how long you spend just for online games. Even if you can make a note up to a week and then see the total use of time you spend. Compare with your daily activities, maybe you have used your important time to play online games only.
  2. Reduce slowly, do not stop at once
Once you know that you spend 20 hours in a week - which means you use the whole day - to play online games, then it's time you reduce them slowly.

It's hard if you have to stop or not to see the game screen at all, so try to reduce the duration. Eg from 20 hours, you are targeting just 18 hours. Try to make the target reduce playing time by 10% each week, so in the end of the next month you only spend about 5 hours.

If your watchdog clock does not work to get you to stop playing, then you can use the features inside your gadget to turn off automatically. This needs to be done to force you to stop doing so. If you are able to control yourself and can stop yourself, then you can use the initial method, just with a reminder clock only.
  5. Anytime you can avoid online games, give yourself a 'gift'
If you can control yourself to stop at the appointed time then there is no harm if you give an appreciation of yourself.
